Ramu restaurant in Ubud, Bali

Located on the third floor of the stunning Titik Dua Hotel, Ramu offers a dining experience that is as refined as its setting. The ambiance is both inviting and elegant—open, airy, and bathed in warm, natural tones. These elements together create an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication.

It’s a space that effortlessly blends modernity with comfort, making it the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal.

The menu for the evening

The culinary offerings at Ramu are good, each dish thoughtfully crafted with a balance of fresh, local ingredients. Moreover, the dishes include bold, inventive flavors.

For starters, I indulged in the Ramu Salmon Yum—a refreshing cold plate featuring succulent salmon, pomelo, slaw, compressed tomato, and a vibrant kalamansi dressing. The freshness of the ingredients was immediately evident. This set the tone for the meal to come.

For the main course, I savored the Hibachi Fish Mangut, the catch of the day, expertly charcoal-grilled. It was paired with a smoky fish curry katsubashi and black garlic oil. The fish was tender and flavorful. It was complemented perfectly by the rich, aromatic curry that added depth and warmth to the dish.

But the true standout was the Fried Cuciwis with Hazelnut Soy Dressing and Fried Capers. The crispy kale, dressed in the rich, nutty dressing, created a harmony of textures and flavors. The dish was nothing short of extraordinary. This dish alone was worth the visit and one I would gladly order again.

To end the meal, I enjoyed the Kelapataart—young coconut custard paired with kenari almond milk coconut and vanilla ice cream. It was a refreshing, light dessert that offered a perfect conclusion to the evening’s flavors.

The ambiance

The atmosphere was further enhanced by live music, with a talented band performing bossa nova and jazz. The vocalist’s, Olen Riyanto, melodious voice paired beautifully with the guitar and bass, creating the perfect soundtrack for the evening.

The service at Ramu

The staff at Ramu were both attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience was seamless. Their genuine warmth and expertise in the menu added an extra layer of comfort. This made the experience feel personal and inviting.

In every way, dining at Ramu was a delightful experience. From the thoughtful menu to the impeccable service and warm ambiance. It is a destination well worth visiting for those seeking a refined yet relaxed dining experience in Ubud.
